Found this gem while scouting through some old photos of El Salvador. Searching for scraps of food from our children outreach, this stray nervously made his way through the a of young kids. To my surprise, many of the children were intolerant of the dog, screaming, slapping, and kicking him as he passed through. Telling the children to stop, I calmly called out to the dog and bribed him over with food. For awhile, he was unsure of whether or not to trust me. After a few minutes, however, he allowed me to lightly pet him, although he flinched with every stroke in fear I would hurt him. But moments later, we couldn't have been happier to have found each other. He remained with me the rest of the outreach, and the same children who hurt him came by to pet and feed him when they saw I did the same. #ElSalvador #PhotoOfTheDay #MansBestFriend #MoralInHereSomewhere
